We are often asked questions such as "which company is the official service?". So we have created an article that looks at the top five myths that are associated with changing ones name by 'deed poll'. We hope that you will find this article of interest and if you have any questions then we would love to hear from you. You can read the article here.

We aim to provide our clients with a flexible and cost effective service. Which is why you can now choose to print your Deed yourself (Online Service), or have us print it for you (Postal Service). Both options provide you with same legal document for the purpose of legally changing your current name.

If you opt for us to print your Deed then we will apply a 38mm red 'legal seal' in the bottom right hand corner which will be embossed with our company name and the words 'deed of change of name'. N.B. such a seal is added purely as an aesthetic finishing touch. It has absolutely no legal baring on the validity of the Deed.

The misconception that a Deed still needs to be sealed stems from an old common law requirement that a Deed was only properly 'executed' under seal. This requirement was abolished by an Act of Parliament in 1989. Therefore, for the last 22 years a seal of any kind has not been required.

We hope that you will find this new service helpful and welcome your feedback.

We have recently updated our covering letter provision. Previously we supplied template covering letters that our clients could download and complete with their details. We've now made this even easier by creating a generic letter 'form' which simply needs to be completed with the clients details at the top.

Remember, a covering letter should always be sent with your Deed to Government Departments, or UK companies.
